The opening ceremony of the "Eternal Stars" quest dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in Rzhev, Tver Region, at the memorial to the Soviet soldier. The winners of the quest will take part in the parade on Red Square on May 9, Artemy Kiselev, deputy executive director of the All-Russian public movement "Victory Volunteers", told journalists.
"Today, on the 82nd anniversary of the liberation of Rzhev from the Nazi invaders, we are launching the online quest "Eternal Stars" throughout the country. The quest timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War will take place in March-April and is designed, of course, for our citizens and our wonderful youth to learn more about the memorial sites, <...> which are located in their own regions, sometimes even in nearby; so that in an interactive form they could learn more about them, about those places that preserve our history," he said.
According to Kiselev, one can take part in the quest using Pobeda80 app. Participants can choose between different formats: online and a personal visit to the memorial site. "If a person is unable to visit the site in person, they can simply read information about the monument, memorial or memorial site, and also receive points for this. Or if a person <...> is able to visit the monument in person, they can come to the memorial site, take a photo, upload it to this app, and also receive points for this, and the leader of the rating will receive a memorable prize <...> – a ticket to the Victory Parade on Red Square on May 9," he noted.
The historical quest "Eternal Stars" is an interactive map with stars. The stars are memorial sites of the Great Patriotic War. There are 940 stars of three types on the map: bronze, silver and gold. For a bronze star, the participant gets 2 points. To do this, you need to click on the star and study the information about the memorial site. To get a gold star, you need to get to the monument, take a photo with it and upload it to the application; for a gold star you get 100 points. You can get additional points in the historical quiz, which contains tests on knowledge of the history of the Great Patriotic War.
The winners of the quest will be 16 participants with the highest number of points. The top three participants will become the main winners. They will have the opportunity to attend the Victory Parade on May 9, 2025. The remaining 13 winners will receive gift sets.
