“Currently, together with our Kremlin colleagues, as well as with other competent agencies, we are actively preparing to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945,” he said.
“During the Direct Line with Vladimir Putin and press conference in December last year, Russian President announced that ‘Russia will be glad to see everyone in Moscow on May 9, 2025, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory, including representatives of the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition,’” the diplomat recalled.
"Many invited heads of state have already confirmed their participation in the ceremonial events. We believe that this Victory is significant for the peoples of the USSR and the entire world. In modern conditions characterized by increased turbulence and growing crisis phenomena it is especially important to learn from the past, to defend and preserve the memory of the exploits of the heroes of World War II, the courage of soldiers and home front workers," Bogdashev said .
