The Volunteer Training Center in Nizhny Novgorod Region will unite more than 25 thousand Nizhny Novgorod volunteers. Throughout 2025, it will organize and support the main events dedicated to the anniversary of the Great Victory. Among them are such major events as the Immortal Regiment march, the international events St. George's Ribbon, Victory Dictation, and Memory Garden. In addition, events will be held dedicated to memorable dates, days of military glory, and much more. Particular attention will be paid to accompaniment of the Victory Parade.
At the moment of the ceremonial transfer of the plaque with the name of the center, the executive director of the All-Russian public organization "Victory Volunteers" Anastasia Ryabova noted: "In the anniversary year of Victory, we have a great responsibility. The International Volunteer Corps will unite 500 thousand volunteers in our country and abroad, and each of them can make their contribution to the celebration of this event. Nizhny Novgorod has the same ambitious goals."
To achieve these goals, volunteer training centers were created - platforms within which the recruitment, training and motivation of volunteers of the International Volunteer Corps of the 80th Anniversary of Victory, accompanying events to preserve historical memory in all regions of Russia and in foreign countries, are already carried out everywhere. Themed events in the format of days of united actions, educational and motivational events with partner organizations involved are held in these centers.
"Nizhny Novgorod Region has often become a place where the Russian people united to save the entire country. I would like to wish us to be presently ready to become a center of attraction, where our youth will offer new initiatives, and their projects and activities will support modern Russia," said Svetlana Anufrieva, Minister of Youth Policy of Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Nizhny Novgorod Department of "Victory Volunteers" Maria Samodelkina said: "Our task is to do everything to protect our historical memory, to perpetuate the great feat of the Soviet people who defeated fascism. Volunteer centers across the country are an excellent format that allows us to involve young people in this process. We are confident that our center will become a place of attraction for Nizhny Novgorod residents of all ages who care about the history of Russia: our youngest volunteer is three years old, and the oldest is 95!"
