Victory Readings in Kaliningrad

A literary and musical meeting from the “Victory Readings” series, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, took place on April 7 at the Zarya cinema in Kaliningrad.


Works by Robert Rozhdestvensky, Rasul Gamzatov, Alexander Tvardovsky, Konstantin Simonov and other poets were performed on stage by actors of the Moscow Chekhov Art Theatre Yanina Kolesnichenko, Darya Yurskaya, Pavel Vashchilin , Oleg Topolyansky , Yulia Vitruk and Anton Loban. On top of this, the Russian Baltic Fleet Song-and-Dance Ensemble, as well as companies of the Kaliningrad Regional Drama Theatre and the Kaliningrad Regional Philharmonic performed for Kaliningrad’s citizens.

Each stage act of these “Victory Readings” was connected with the Soviet fleet, its heroes, their courage and bravery.

"Victory Readings" is a large-scale project that takes place in Russian cities and tells about the great feats of soldiers and ordinary citizens during the Great Patriotic War. Famous theater and film actors, musicians and public figures take part in the event.

Moscow saw the first event of the series, which took place at Mayakovskaya metro station on the night of December 4-5, 2024. The next one was organized in Volgograd at the Panorama-Museum "Battle of Stalingrad". Kaliningrad became the third city to host the meeting of performers with the audience.
